This policy explains what information protradecalc.com (“ProTradeCalc”, “we”) collects when you use the site, and how it is used. The short version: there are no accounts, no forms, and nothing you type into a calculator leaves your browser.
What we collect
Calculator inputs
Dimensions, materials and prices you enter are processed in your browser. They are not sent to our servers. Your inputs may appear in the page address so you can bookmark or share a result; that address is not logged by us beyond the anonymous analytics described below.
Preferences stored on your device
The dark-mode toggle stores a single value (ptc-theme) in your browser's local storage. It is never transmitted. Clearing site data removes it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used and where visitors come from. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (for example _ga) to distinguish visitors and sessions, and collects device, browser, approximate location and page-interaction data. IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not enable advertising features or cross-site tracking. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on; how Google uses data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Server logs
Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and operations. They are retained for a limited period and are not used to profile visitors.
Advertising
ProTradeCalc is supported by advertising. Ad placements are shown in clearly labelled slots and are provided by third-party advertising networks, which may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve ads and measure their performance. Where required, you will be asked for consent before such cookies are set. Google's advertising practices, including how to opt out of personalised advertising, are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can also manage ad personalisation through your browser or device settings.
Affiliate links
Some links to products or suppliers are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer's own privacy policy applies once you leave this site. Affiliate relationships never change a calculated quantity.
If you email us, we keep the message for as long as needed to reply and to fix any reported issue. We do not add you to a mailing list; there is no mailing list.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your rights
Because we hold almost no personal data, most rights requests (access, deletion, portability) will have nothing to return. If you believe we hold information about you, or you have a question about this policy, contact us and we will respond within 30 days. Residents of the EEA, UK, California and other jurisdictions with privacy laws have the rights those laws provide; we honour them regardless of where you live.
Changes
We will update this page when practices change and note the date at the top. Material changes, such as adding a new analytics provider, will be reflected here before they take effect.
